The display lights and reaches a normal working screen (1250 µl with program P0, Fill and Run indicators and the speed bars lit); every segment renders with no missing, dead or corrupted segments, and the keypad and navigation controls are intact. A Thermo Scientific 3.7 V / 4.81 Wh Li-ion pack IS installed (see photos), but its wrapper is hand-dated 8-6-2019 and no battery symbol was showing on the display during the test. Assume the pack is at end of life and plan on a replacement. IMPORTANT: the pipette was powered from a bench DC adapter for this test, so this is a POWERS-ON result and NOT a runs-on-battery result. NOT verified: volumetric accuracy (the calibration sticker has lapsed), a full aspirate/dispense cycle under load, and battery runtime. No runtime figure is claimed. Sold as-is and uncalibrated; budget for a calibration service before analytical use.
