Description
A matched pair of unused Stanley 46-520 try squares with the original factory retail labels still stuck to the blades.
Bench report
- Functional
- Both squares are unused. The blades are bright with crisp graduations and a sharp Eagle Square roundel etch ("EAGLE SQUARE. STANLEY TOOLS. Since 1817"). Blades are stamped "3 46-520 4 U.S.A."; the black cast handles read "STANLEY / MADE IN U.S.A." and are unchipped. Not checked on a precision square or granite plate. I do not have the metrology to certify one, so I am not claiming it. Judge trueness from the photos and buy accordingly.
- Cosmetic
- New old stock, not mint-in-package. Each blade still carries its original Stanley retail barcode sticker (STANLEY TOOLS, NEW BRITAIN, CT 06050 / 46-520 / WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES). Expect faint storage haze and the odd handling mark on the steel. No rust, no pitting, no shop wear.
- Tested
- Both blades bright. No rust, no pitting · Graduations crisp and legible full length · Handles unchipped, blade seated tight in both · Factory retail label present and readable on both · NOT gauged for squareness. See the description
