Shop Lab & Test Equipment

Description

Lab and process test equipment - tested to the level described and honestly noted. This is an obscure, long-discontinued instrument: please read the Tested and Not-Tested sections carefully before you buy. Sold as described.

Bench report

Functional
Powers on from the supplied AC adapter. The four-digit red LED display lights and shows readings, the supply-rail indicator LEDs beside it light, and the front-panel mode buttons respond - BALLOON/INTERLACE was selected and its button LED lit with the display reading 1023. The optical sensor head connects to the analyzer on the supplied cable. Beyond that I could not exercise it: measuring interlace nodes requires running filament yarn through the sensor head, and I have no yarn sample or interlace reference standard here.
Cosmetic
The hard carry case is scuffed and marked from service use. The analyzer itself is clean with bright, unfaded front-panel graphics. The sensor head and its aluminium face show light handling marks. The padded field bag and the manual are intact; the manual's pages are clean and complete.
Tested
Powers on from the supplied AC adapter. · The four-digit red LED display lights and shows readings. · Supply-rail indicator LEDs next to the display light. · Front-panel mode selection responds - BALLOON/INTERLACE selected, its button LED lit, display reading 1023. · The optical sensor head mates to the analyzer with the supplied cable.
Not tested
Measurement accuracy - no filament yarn or interlace reference standard was run through the sensor head. · Calibration - not certified, and there is no factory calibration path for this instrument. · The remaining measurement modes (interlaces per second, interlaces per meter, absolute diameter, transition totalizer, test mode) were not run against a known sample. · The rear DB-25 connector, edge connector and coaxial jack were not exercised. · The alarm relay, real-time clock and proximity speed input described in the manual were not tested.
