Description

An unusually well-documented G1329A: every mechanism exercised and passed on our bench, an EMF odometer you can read yourself, and complete maintenance and error logbooks. The needle assembly is not fitted and that is stated up front, in the title.

Bench report

Functional
All ten injector steps pass on a dry bench run: injection valve in both directions, metering device, needle-carrier Z axis, transport arm and gripper. One honest caveat on that result - the step that reports 'needle into seat' is a Z-AXIS result only. This module has no needle sensor, so that step passes with an empty carrier and is NOT evidence of a fitted needle. Read it as proof the Z axis drives and reports, nothing more. The sample compartment is clean with no buffer-salt residue anywhere.
Cosmetic
Clean overall. Light surface scratching on the rear sheet metal. Front panel, door and the clear sample-compartment cover are all intact and unyellowed. The 100-position tray is clean.
Tested
Injection valve actuated in both directions - pass. · Metering device actuated - pass. · Needle-carrier Z axis drives and reports - pass (Z axis only; there is no needle sensor on this module). · Transport arm motion - pass. · Gripper actuation - pass. · EMF odometer read on the module's own screen: 2,261 injections and 4,076 valve cycles since the Agilent needle-seat service of 15 Oct 2010. That is roughly 200 injections a year over eleven years - and you can verify it yourself on the EMF screen when it arrives. · Maintenance logbook complete: six entries 2005-2010, all Agilent field service, every flow-path wear part replaced at least once. · Error logbook complete 03/2017 to 02/2022 with ZERO mechanical faults - one leak logged 19 Dec 2019, fixed, and the module ran 26 more months after it. · Sample compartment inspected - clean, no buffer-salt residue.
Not tested
This was a DRY test. No solvent was ever put through the flow path here. · Injection precision and accuracy - NOT tested, not claimed. · Carryover - NOT tested. · Leak-tightness under pressure - NOT tested. · Not run against a detector or as part of a complete HPLC stack. · No calibration or qualification of any kind, and none is offered.
